When the moment is captured, sometimes a photograph of a dancer looks like they are perfectly still. When they are wearing a fringed collar that hangs to the floor there is no danger of that happening. Every movement is extended through the fringe in an uncontrollable way. Jakopo had control of his body and knew how to manipulate it to look beautiful but there is also beauty in the chaos of the strands flying around him.
